Machine Assembler

I run the vertical grinders, grinding the bearing housings to fit the flywheels & enclosures.

I worked at East Penn Manufacturing in the smelter, operating furnaces and heavy machinery.

August of 2021

We are now located in Leesport. It’s brighter and cleaner. We are grinding more parts. Everyone is under the same roof and we get to see each other.

I find digging into how the vertical grinders operate most interesting. Trying to figure them out and make the programs run faster and more efficiently.

Being able to do well at every job given to me.

That I don’t feel like just a number. If you show up every day and do a good job, they recognize it. Flexible hours and a willingness to work with you if something comes up.

Setting the machines up to run new models quickly and efficiently.

Hop on board. Don’t look back and do the best you can do.

“Take a breath.” I tell myself this if I am frustrated, confused, overchallenged or something. Stop and take a breath, reassess, and get back to it!

I enjoy going on primitive hunting and camping trips.
